About SKIM
SKIM is all about the students. It is more than just about STEM. One of our major beliefs is the insignificance of youth regarding experience. Some of the most qualified people out in the world are kids, and we want to recognize and foster such talent by providing STEM activities and lessons for all students. All of us can be united through the power of STEM.

Mission & Vision
Our mission at SKIM is to spark the interest in STEM in all students to contribute to a generation of world changing scientists. Just like how a rock can skim across water and form expanding ripples, we aim to be that rock and form a ripple of knowledge that continually grows within the inquisitive minds of students from elementary to high school.
Our Story
During the COVID-19 quarantine, my brother Brian excitedly came to me one day to show me an online owl pellet dissection game he did for his science lab. After telling him I actually got to dissect an owl pellet when I was his age, his eyes grew wide with wonder, fathoming what such an experience felt like. I soon thought about other kids missing out on such amazing STEM activities, such as building a Rube Goldberg machine or dissecting a frog. From then on, I knew something must be done to provide unforgettable STEM experiences to students no matter the circumstances.

With much thought, I created SKIM to ensure all kids, young and old, are able to begin or continue their STEM journey. We desire to help our peers advance in STEM so that all of us can become the aspiring scientists we are meant to be.
