Matthew Kim
Co-founder and President

Lead Director
Matthew values having a great work ethic and strives to be hard-working. He has experience as the JTMS Science Olympiad co-captain, OC Engineer board member, and president and founder of the National Chemistry Olympiad Club and Fossil Club at Portola High School. He has competed in Science Olympiad competitions since 2016, including the 2018 National Tournament. Some of his academic achievements include being a 2019 and 2021 USABO Semifinalist; scoring 800 on SAT Biology E, SAT Chemistry, and SAT Math II; and achieving a 36 on the ACT as a freshman. He is currently a Mensa member. His passions include paleontology, cubing, origami, and Star Wars.
Brian Kim

Brian is a dedicated tinkerer, who harnesses his creativity through such activities as Lego building and drawing. He loves engaging in STEM projects in which he can build creations that propose innovative ideas. Although young, he has worked to advance in his academics and challenge himself, as shown by his many scholar awards. He also enjoys playing chess and has won chess awards. Currently, he is a Mensa member. His passions include astronomy, gaming, and Harry Potter.
